Ladies were greeted with perfect spring conditions when they arrived for last Wednesday's social competition at the club.
Members welcomed Norma McGregor back to bowls.
Teamed with Lorraine McKellar and Ann Chant, they played consistently to hold the lead at the 17th end.
On the final 18th end, Colleen Harrison, Jan Munro and Val Bloem caught up and, bowling well, scored five shots, to take the match by three.
MORE SPORT:
In a top display for skill during her return match, McGregor scored a resting toucher.
In the pairs match, Margaret McKenzie and Laurel Cox played well to win from Barbara Gullotta and Betty Howard.
Good bowling by Howard saw her score two resting touchers.
Drawn winners were Harrison, Munro and Bloem.
This week some of the ladies will join the men to play mixed pairs, while social bowls will continue for those not involved in mixed pairs.
